Project Description

This project involved a complete gut and remodel of the existing chapter room within the Chapter House. Above the ceiling, new under roof insulation was added. A new hanging grid, reveal tiles, study-quality reverse parabolic lay-in lights, cove lighting, HVAC distribution & supply registers were all added as well. The drywall cove was repaired, the terrazzo floors were repaired, refinished and sealed. New wall sconce lights (8) were added, as well as new cover plates for light switches, wall receptacles, and floor receptacles. All walls were repaired and painted including wainscoting and molding. New rolling study desks with built-in power ports and UM colored rolling office chairs were added to finish off the new facility. A custom nameplate was added above the main entrance as well to commemorate Brother T. Ken Hunt’s generous donation to the project.
